The Club
An up north evening, done properly.
A supper club is not a restaurant with a view. It is a pace. You arrive at golden hour, the relish tray lands before you have decided on anything, and dinner takes exactly as long as the sunset does. Lantern & Pine keeps that Northern Michigan tradition alive on the Lake Huron shore: cold-water fish, a wood-fired hearth, and drinks built like they used to be.
Wednesday through Sunday, the lanterns come on at four. The porch fills first, then the dining room, then the dock. Nobody has ever been asked to hurry.
